Randy is the Current mayor of Chatham-Kent, elected in 2006. Randy served as MPP for Chatham-Kent from 1990 – 1995 as part of the NDP party. Prior to entering politics he was involved in the labour movement first as a Union Steward at Rockwell International in Tilbury, then as President of Canadian Auto Workers Local 1941 from 1985 – 1990. He served as president of the Chatham and District Labour Council from 1988 to 1990. Randy is also Member of the Ontario Speaker panel for illiteracy, as well as doing volunteer work for numerous community service organizations.
