Brett has worked in the energy and water utility industries for 19 years, first with BC Hydro then joining BC Gas (now Terasen) in 1991. At Terasen, Brett held a number of positions in the areas of resource planning, marketing, regulatory pricing, and business development. Brett became the President of Terasen Water and Utility Services Inc., in 2001 and was a member of the Executive Management Committee of Terasen Inc. prior to the Kinder Morgan acquisition.
In 2006, Brett was instrumental in leading the successful bid to purchase Terasen Water & Utility Services back from Kinder Morgan, Inc. and bring ownership back to Canada. The company and subsidiaries are now run under the corporate name Corix. As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corix Group (including Corix Water Products Inc., Corix Water Systems Inc., and Corix Utilities Inc.), Brett is responsible for overall company performance in over 60 locations and with over 1500 employees across Canada and the United States. Brett also sits on the Board of Chatham Kent Energy Inc and the Board of Directors for Fairbanks Sewer and Water Inc.
